About Dr. M.

Dr. Rebekah Montgomery is a clinical psychologist harnessing the power of therapy to help client’s face life’s biggest challenges.  For nearly two decades, she has been holding compassionate space for clients tackling anxiety and depression, trauma and grief, fertility struggles, identity challenges, and existential crisis.  Dr. Montgomery is well versed in supporting individual and couples through complex life transitions. Clients value her warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative style. She balances the science and art of therapy to make it work for real life.

Credentials

Dr. Montgomery owns Montgomery Psychology and Consulting Services, where she offers therapy, consultation, and mentoring in Washington D.C. and Boston. She has provided treatment, as well as leadership, education and training at a multitude of hospitals, counseling centers, and private practices.  In addition to her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Montgomery completed a postdoctoral fellowship in trauma at the Harvard Medical School, Boston Medical School, National Center for PTSD consortium.  She has conducted research on adult attachment as well as psychotherapy.

For now, she lives in Cambridge, MA and is always planning her next adventure with her husband, obsessing about TV, or the state of the world.
